I am tired of being spat on and slapped in the face. I am tired of being patronized and blatantly lied to. It should have been obvious the game was over when the claims of election fraud were laughed out of 61 of 62 courtrooms including the Supreme Court, which is currently stacked in the Grand Liar's favor thanks to a hypocritical confirmation "hearing" in the wake of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death. But that wasn't enough. Rather than accept the fact, the FACT, he lost a fair, legitimate, secure election, this psychologically disturbed man-child continued to spred this nonsense to his devotees. The culmination of months of grooming these cult members to take his word as holy law was January 6, 2021.

On this day, Congress was to certify the results of the 2020 election once and for all declaring Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won. What happened was a mob, whipped up by the Cult 45 leader, breached the Capitol building to stop the certification and hunt down lawmakers including the former vice president.

My God, the pictures from that day are burned into my mind. A gallows on the lawn. A Confederate flag inside the Capitol building. Antisemetic sweatshirts invoking one of the darkest, cruelest moments in history. The police were overwhelemed; they did their best to protect those in their care. Five people died that day; one was a police officer. In the days that followed, at least two more officers took their liver because of the atrocities they endured on Jan. 6.

And the screams. The screams of an officer being crushed in a doorway; the screams of officers begging for help and not receiving it until it was well past too late. Theses are things you don't forget.

It is important to remember the person responsible for this attack was still the sitting president. His term did not technically expire until January 20, 2021, at noon. Believe me, I was counting the hours. The riot occurred on January 6, 2021. The House of Representatives quickly, and appropriately, moved to impeach the then president in an effort to hold him accountable. When it was time, the House sent the article over to the Senate, as required by law, so they could start getting ready for the trial. An impeachment trial is not like a criminal trail. There is no jail time, but the person can be removed from office and prevented from ever holding office again if convicted. The Sentate refused to hold the trial until after the new president was inagurated, giving them a phony excuse. The prosecution presented an iron-clad, damning case against the former president that clearly demonstated his guilt.

None of that matters though when the jury, who are the 100 senators, is mostly in the defendant's pocket. That's saying something given the embarrassingly poor performance the Liar's lawyers gave. To be fair, they didn't have much to work with. What makes this travesty of justice even worse is the mockery of the heroic officers that saved these pathetic lawmakers. They had the nerve to award the Congressional Medal to an officer then slap him in the face by not holding the person who endangered his life accountable.

Clearly, Senate votes mean nothing. They had already voted on the issue of constitutionality for the trial; it was OVER. And yet, that is what the spineless Republicans claimed their reason was. All but seven. Miserable failures.
